PUBLIC NOTICE - WATER SUPPLY RESTRICTION – LEVEL 2

Water Restriction Level 2 is in force until further notice.

PRIVATE GARDENS AND LAWN WATERING

Watering not permitted on Mondays
Odd numbered houses – Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
Even numbered houses – Wednesday, Friday and Sunday

Level 2 Restrictions

Micro sprays and drip systems – between 6am and 8am
Sprinklers – 6am to 8am and 6pm to 8pm
Watering cans and buckets can be used at any time
on permitted days.

• No hosing of paved areas unless it is as a result of an accident, fire, health hazard or other emergency otherwise written permission from Council must be obtained.
• Water must not be used to clean windows except by means of a bucket or watering can filled directly from the tap.
• Hoses must not be used for washing cars and other vehicles unless on permitted days.

This notice applies to all homeowners, tenants, shop and business owners, occupiers of Government residences and buildings located on Horn Island and Thursday Island.
